A place to share Traditions.
every wedding I've been to, we got a chunk of fence, made a large pen, and released either a pig or a turkey (the bride picked) then the groom and the best man had to catch it and find someone to cook it or make it themselves
It's October 9th which means it's LEIF ERIKSON DAY!!!!! HINGA DINGA DURGEN!!!!!!!
Many Schools in my area (And also some workplaces or youthclubs) have a Tradition called "Wichteln"/"Schrottwichteln" (Litteral translations would be "Elfing" or "Trash elfing").
Basically, around Christmas, everyone who wants to participate writes their Name on a Piece of paper, and puts it in a bowl. Then, everyone takes one Piece out, and has to buy a present/ take something they already own, and give it to that Person. But nobody knows who was their "elf".
